Automotive supplier expanding injection molding capabilities
BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Dec. 2, 2010 – TASUS Corporation, a Midwestern plastic injection molder serving the automotive industry, is underway with new construction to their existing site. Early November 2010, the Monroe County Council approved a $1.5 million tax abatement for an expansion to the facility along with the purchase of a new 1450 metric ton Nissei injection molding machine. The expansion is on target to be completed at the start of 2011 and production is projected for mid January.
TASUS (Tsuchiya Automotive Systems US) is anticipating a 5 percent boost in sales due to the investment. The addition of the new 1450T press will expand TASUS Corporation’s product base within their core focus markets and create further opportunities with current customers. As practitioners of the Toyota Production System (TPS), TASUS has positioned itself for growth through increased efficiency in all areas of its operations. TASUS has followed TPS Principle One: Base your management decisions on a long-term philosophy, by adding enough space to add additional machines in anticipation of meeting their customer’s growing needs.
