Process Technician

2nd & 3rd shift

The primary function of the Process Technician is to set up equipment and define processes and to improve efficiency and quality within the molding department. Oversees and Supervise activities & resources of production cells (molding or assembly) for maximum productivity and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up of tools within the molding department in a safe manner in order to prevent equipment and tool damage.
  • Develop new processes which meet associated product cost standards. Troubleshoot process problems. Develop and provide technical training.
  • Work with Quality Engineers to standardize and document new processes.
  • Manage production operations including all activities of the shop floor established procedures and approved processes.
  • Handle performance, disciplinary, and attendance issues on a day to day basis and review employee performance on a semi-annual basis.
  • Develop and train production operators for new projects before production begins.
  • To implement Toyota Production System principles on the manufacturing floor and to maximize efficiencies in machine and labor at the lowest cost possible.
  • Conduct and oversee process optimization activities, i.e., Impact studies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience in injection molding processes.

Must have knowledge to set-up new processes;

Must have hands on leadership ability and previous supervisory experience.

Must have excellent communication and training skills.

Must have computer skills- micro-soft office.

Quality Engineer – Alabama Location 


This position reports to the Quality Manager.  As a primary responsibility, the employee works with Operations and all other departments in order to guide and direct the activities necessary to standards of quality in accordance with ISO 9001, TS16949, or other designated quality system.


  • Assists the Quality Manager in creating a plant wide environment which champions quality in all aspects of products, services and personal relationships.
  • Active participant in Quality Planning Meetings for products specific to customer requirements, prior to reaching the initial sampling and production phases.
  • Develop and implement customer required programs (FMEA’s, Control Plans, Flow Charts, Quality Inspection Instructions, SOP’s, Quality Alerts and etc.) and may be instrumental in delivery of PPAP documentation.
  • Utilize current and future technology to ensure product quality; SPC, DOE, ISO 9001, etc.
  • Provide assistance to the customer as to determine product release requirements, including product and tooling specifications, value added activities, packaging, etc.
  • Provide assistance to customer on first run product launch at customer site.
  • Aid in troubleshooting of any customer related non-conformance due to processing or sampling of product.


  • 5 years manufacturing experience Required
  • 3 years automotive manufacturing Preferred
  • Understanding of the use of tools for continuous improvement such as control charts and other graphical tools; design of experiments and reliability studies.
  • Strong Mathematical skills with emphasis on statistics.
  • Mastery in the use of PC-based software such as word processing, spreadsheets and project planning.
  • Requires a strong knowledge of quality assurance standards as outlined in ISO/TS16949 and other designated quality systems.
  • Assist with all audits.
  • Perform supplier audits.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of total Maintenance department
