AL TASUS Corporation is a dynamic and growing plastics injection-molder serving the OEM automotive industry. TASUS Alabama is a new division of TASUS Corporation which will be located in Florence, Alabama. We are searching for the following professional positions:

Process Technician 2nd & 3rd 
Tooling/Equipment Maintenance Technician

 

Process Technician

2nd & 3rd shift

The primary function of the Process Technician is to set up equipment and define processes and to improve efficiency and quality within the molding department. Oversees and Supervise activities & resources of production cells (molding or assembly) for maximum productivity and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up of tools within the molding department in a safe manner in order to prevent equipment and tool damage.
  • Develop new processes which meet associated product cost standards. Troubleshoot process problems. Develop and provide technical training.
  • Work with Quality Engineers to standardize and document new processes.
  • Manage production operations including all activities of the shop floor established procedures and approved processes.
  • Handle performance, disciplinary, and attendance issues on a day to day basis and review employee performance on a semi-annual basis.
  • Develop and train production operators for new projects before production begins.
  • To implement Toyota Production System principles on the manufacturing floor and to maximize efficiencies in machine and labor at the lowest cost possible.
  • Conduct and oversee process optimization activities, i.e., Impact studies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience in injection molding processes.

Must have knowledge to set-up new processes;

Must have hands on leadership ability and previous supervisory experience.

Must have excellent communication and training skills.

Must have computer skills- micro-soft office.

Tooling/Equipment Maintenance Technician

Manage Tool Room activities and maintain existing tooling through the use of an organized PM program. Oversee Preventive and repair maintenance of facility and its equipment as needed and or scheduled. Assist in repair of robots and other automation as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining an automated preventative maintenance and inventory data base for building, all equipment, molds and spare parts.
  • Maintain the maintenance/tooling department in an organized and clean manner, so that jobs can be handled as efficiently as possible.
  • Assist with mold repairs / engineering changes and work with engineering staff to evaluate molds for in-house or outside repair, as needed.
  • Maintain spare parts stores in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Monitor all plan equipment for condition changes as well as repairs to assure proper fix has been made.
  • When necessary, prioritize work depending on work load, cost of downtime, cost of extended damage, etc.
  • Meet with production scheduling to prioritize and schedule PM activities.
  • Provide services on a 24-hour emergency call basis, as required.
  • Assist in developing a good working P.M. program and keeping it updated and active.
  • Interact with suppliers and equipment manufacturers for technical support as needed or as assigned.
  • Work as a team member to achieve the best results

Knowledge/Experience Requirements: (minimum education and/or experience, licenses, skills, etc.)

High school diploma and at least five years maintenance experience in an industrial environment. 7+ years experience as a plastic mold maker or comparable combination of experience and education. Proficiency in the use of lathes, grinders, milling machines and hot runner systems. Welding knowledge is preferable.

Automation background preferred
