Bloomington, IN- On January 26th, TASUS opened its doors to Owen Valley High School Students to give them a peak into the world of advanced manufacturing. The students themselves are involved in OV’s underwater robotics team “Sea Perch”, FIRST Robotics, or are currently taking engineering classes.

The day kicked off with students touring the facility. Then a presentation was given to students about TASUS’s history, products, company culture, as well as what it is like within the Automation Department.

The students had wonderful questions, the day wrapped up with lunch and time for students and staff to hangout! TASUS loves to be able to do events such as these to connect with the community and educate on what TASUS does.

Thanks to everyone in the plant as well as those who helped behind the scenes. Events such as these are not achievable without everyone’s help.

A special thanks to those individuals who took time out of their day to help with the visit: Jason Flinn, Tyler Blackburn, Brett Wagnon, Zoul Ballman, Michael Majors, Greg Stantz, and Mike Schab.

Bloomington, IN-Cindy has been with TASUS since 2005. If anyone knows Cindy they know she does a little bit of everything, and the best part of her job is that she never knows what she will need to learn next to handle new requests.

Cindy is one crafty lady. She spends her free time designing and creating things. She has created clothing, furniture, costumes, and the list goes on! Her talents include woodwork and construction as well. Cindy says she has no special talent but I think everyone at TASUS can agree she is great at adding a little something special to every project she does.

Cindy’s favorite food is mushrooms. Her favorite movie is A Walk in the Clouds, a romantic drama featuring Keanu Reeves. If she could go anywhere she would go somewhere warm with a beach and her family. Cindy has been married to her husband Chuck for 37 years, has two daughters and 5 grandchildren.

Pictured Below are some of Cindy’s Projects.

Thanks for being such a crafty part of the TASUS team Cindy! We appreciate all that you do.
