Bloomington, IN– To honor her family, Melanie Hart, President and CEO of TASUS Corporation and Tsuchiya Group North America, has reassumed her maiden name of Melanie Walker. During her tenure as President and CEO, Ms. Walker has grown the business from a single manufacturing plant in Bloomington, Indiana to four North American manufacturing facilities, a distribution operation and corporate headquarters. These locations include Alabama, Indiana, Texas, and Ontario, Canada. During 2015 Ms. Walker was appointed to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors, as well as named the President of the Japan America Society of Indiana.

Bloomington, IN—Indiana Governor Mike Pence recently appointed Tsuchiya Group North America CEO Melanie Walker Hart to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) Board of Directors. Hart has led TASUS and Tsuchiya Group

North America since 1994, growing the company steadily throughout her tenure.



The IEDC is a public/private partnership led by Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith. The organization is focused on growing and retaining businesses in Indiana, while attracting new businesses to the state.
