Bloomington, IN- On Saturday, Vicki Applegate, Diane Grote, and KayLeigh Duerksen represented TASUS at the 2nd annual G.E.M.S Conference (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science). The event provided an opportunity to educate and excite 5th and 6th grade girls about potential career options offered in STEM related fields.
The three ladies participated in a career expo and presented to several small breakout groups on manufacturing processes and quality control. In a feedback session after the event, TASUS’s presentation was listed as one of the favorites! An estimated 100 girls from Monroe County attended the event!
TASUS is proud to support Women in STEM iniatives, and be a pillar in the Bloomington community.
