Bloomington, IN– The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Indiana INTERNnet recognized TASUS Corporation for the company’s excellent intern program. TASUS has been recognized because of the company’s outstanding performance in finding, developing, and hiring interns.
TASUS brought seven representatives to the luncheon from intern supervisors to former and current interns. Attending the luncheon for TASUS was Director of Marketing Jay Brown, Director of Technical Development Robbie Elliott, Maintenance Manager Hank Baugh, as well as past interns and apprentices Casey Marks, Michael Frederick, Shannon Enstrom, and Zoul Ballman.
TASUS Interns:
Over the past year TASUS has brought in two talented interns, which have been offered full-time positions with the company. Intern Michael Frederick is a student at Vincennes University. Frederick is an intern with the technical development department at TASUS and will become a full-time employee upon his graduation in May 2015. Zoul Ballman was an intern while attending Indiana University in 2014. Ballman is now a full-time employee with the marketing department at TASUS’ North America headquarters.
In addition to those interns, Shannon Enstrom was an apprentice at TASUS while attending Ivy Tech Community College. TASUS invested in Enstrom’s education at Ivy Tech and he now holds a full-time position in the tooling and maintenance department.
INTERNnet Impact Awards:
The Indiana INTERNnet Impact Award luncheon hosted a number of businesses from throughout the state which have demonstrated excellent intern programs. The luncheon was sponsored by and hosted at the Ivy Tech Culinary Center in Indianapolis. The luncheon recognized businesses in attendance for their outstanding work with interns.
The luncheon’s keynote speaker was Jennifer Fisher, Culture and Retention Manager at Group Dekko. Fisher gave an inspirational speech on why you should not fear failure, you should learn from it. The luncheon concluded with closing remarks from Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann.
