TGNA Staff Chilling Outside

February 18, 2014

The Thread Heads began when employees joined together to share knowledge of crafts such as crochet. Not long after they begun it became apparent the group should make something they can give to a good cause. The group members began using their free time to work on hats and scarves individually, while still meeting on occasional weekends to work as a group. The group gained new members over time and has donated sets of hats and scarves or ear-warmers and scarves to the Park Place Assisted Living Center. The Thread Heads did not want to stop there so they began making extra hats, ear-warmers, and scarves to sell in a silent auction. The proceeds reached nearly $900 which was donated to the Make a Difference Campaign for Robbie Grace’s son.

The Thread Heads continue to crochet and make other crafts to donate to those in need. If you are interested in donating to or joining the Thread Heads contact TASUS Texas Human Resources for more information.
