Bloomington, Indiana – Melanie Hart, President and CEO of Tsuchiya Group North America and the TASUS companies joins President Barack Obama at the SelectUSA Summit 2013. Preeminent business leaders from around the country, global investors, state and local representatives and high-level U.S. Government officials will convene to explore investment opportunities and learn more about resources available to support business investment in the United States. Andrew Liveris-President Chairman and CEO of Dow Chemical, Bill Simon-President and CEO Walmart, David Steel-Executive Vice President Samsung Electronics North America, Alfred Spector-Vice President of Research and Special Initiatives, Google will join Hart along with representatives from 47 states among others. The summit will feature over 1,200 participants including 630 foreign companies from 59 different countries including attendance by Koichi Ohara President Tsuchiya Company Ltd., Nagoya Japan. Tsuchiya continues to make significant investment in the U.S. market with now four manufacturing facilities and recent addition of a distributed products division. Those in attendance and speaking on behalf of Tsuchiya and TASUS will share thoughts and insight of best practices for investment and growth in the U.S. marketplace.

Florence, AL: Melanie Hart, President and CEO of Tsuchiya Group North America and the TASUS companies has been invited to speak at the October 24th Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) conference in Birmingham Alabama. Melanie will be joined by Hon. Robert Bentley; Governor of the State of Alabama, Tom Shoupe; President of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, and Mark Brazeal, General Manager, Toyota Manufacturing, Alabama Inc. to present and share in thought of trends and challenges in the automotive supply chain. This conference embraces the meaning of Mono-zukuri; having the spirit to produce excellent products and the ability to constantly improve a production system and process. With this Philosophy in mind, the conference is hopeful of facilitating a better understanding and collaboration between Japanese and North American Automotive supplier communities. The conference will be held at Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in the Medical Forum Auditorium, 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd, North, Birmingham, AL 35203 on Thursday, October 24th, 2013. GEORGETOWN, TX

TASUS Texas recently supported three Georgetown 4-H students in the Team America Rocketry Challenge where they landed in first place out of 100 competing teams. This placement earned them the opportunity to compete internationally at the Paris, France Air Show where they landed first yet again, besting the national champion teams of Britain and France! All three members of the Georgetown 4-H Rocket Team plan on pursuing degrees in aerospace and aeronautical engineering.
