Congratulations Melanie Walker, President and CEO of TASUS and Tsuchiya Group North America, for receiving the Japan-America Society of Indiana’s “Bridge of Friendship Award"! The award was presented last Wednesday, August 7th, at the JASI’s annual gala, an event for corporate and community leaders to come together from throughout the state and region.
The award was presented by Theresa Kulczak, Executive Director of JASI, and Millie Marshall, President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. According to the JASI, the “Bridge of Friendship Award” honors individuals, companies, and communities that have “demonstrated distinguished leadership in the Indiana-Japan relationship.” Past recipients of the award include Founder and CEO of SONY Akio Morita, Former Senator Richard Lugar, Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Thomas S. Foley, and Former Ambassador of Japan to the United States Ryozo Kato.
