Georgetown, TX—TASUS is sponsoring and raising money for the March for Babies which takes place on May 10th. March for Babies is a walking event designed to raise money to give more babies a healthy start. At TASUS we are trying to find as many ways as we can to raise money for this charity. TASUS is hosting a variety of events to help raise more money to donate.

The events and activities are designed to be fun and enjoyable for employees and families, while also bringing in significant donations for the March for Babies. TASUS will be kicking things off with a Hot Dog and Chip Day for all shifts at the plant on Friday March 28th. The following Friday April 4th is Nacho and Frito Pie Day. Both of these events cost only $3 and proceeds go to the March for Babies. On April 17th there will be a TASUS bake sale as an additional donation generator.

TASUS is also offering March for Babies items for sale. The items include T-Shirts for $15, buttons for $.25, calendars for $1, stickers for $.25, and paper cut outs for $1. That is not all though. TASUS is also holding a 50/50 raffle ticket money pot. The winning ticket will receive half of what is in the pot and the rest will go to the March for Babies. Raffle tickets are $1 a piece or 6 tickets for $5 and can be purchased between April 4th and May 8th.

If you are interested in just donating to the cause you can visit the TASUS March for Babies fundraiser page. Thank you for all the help and support going to this wonderful organization.

TASUS enjoys sharing the volunteerism stories of our great employees. This month we are pleased to share with you the stories of three employees, all managers, who dedicated their time and money to help those in need around them. At TASUS we are fortunate to have managers who exemplify leadership both within the company, as well as the community.

Amy Murphy, Human Resources Manager at TASUS Alabama, is involved in a variety of charities. She participates in the Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society event. She works as a counselor for single parents and their children in a local divorce care program. Amy also volunteers to serve at the Shoals Area Soup Kitchen and is a sponsor of the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Amy stays very busy, but that is not all. She also is a Sunday School teacher for 7th and 8th grade girls. TASUS is extremely proud of her initiative. Amy has also been involved with the new TPS Community Involvement team at TASUS Alabama, which has great plans for being active in the community helping those in need.

Bob Fisher, our recently promoted Materials Manager at TASUS Alabama, serves on the Board of Directors for The ARC of the Shoals. The ARC of the Shoals is an organization that serves adults with developmental disabilities and their families. The organization provides many services to those individuals and their families such as a training center, work center, residential services, and recreational programs. Bob volunteers for the Special Olympics, at holiday parties, and many other events for the clients of ARC. As a member of the Board of Directors Bob enjoys helping the organization make important decisions pertaining to the organization and how they can continue to effectively serve their clients. If you are interested in helping Bob and the ARC of Shoals visit www.arcoftheshoals.com .

Last but not least Karen Dunn, Human Resources Manager TASUS Canada, offers her services to the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OER). Karen writes lesson plans for grades 3 and 4 to raise interest and teach children about horses and the equestrian sport as a precursor to attending field trips by the schools to fall fairs. Karen says she understands the opportunity these fields can mean to these children. Karen says she grew up a “city kid” who always enjoyed the annual trip to the Royal Winter Fair. If you are interested in serving this organization or utilizing their services visit www.horse.on.ca .

On behalf of TASUS we would like to thank these employees and all others who have volunteered time or gave back to the community in some capacity. We look forward to sharing all the future acts of kindness by our team members.

Hamilton, Ontario – As 2014 rolls on TASUS continues to receive performance scorecards from the various companies we supply. Our most recent report was from HINO, and much like the report from Toyota it contained good news. TASUS can proudly boast a PPM of 0 for all of 2013 with HINO. This is a great achievement and one we are very proud of. An accomplishment of this type is rare for HINO suppliers because the volume of parts supplied is relatively low compared to other companies, so even one bad part can drastically affect the PPM and performance report. At TASUS we strive for perfection so we can provide the highest quality for our customers. We practice a Kaizen work culture at TASUS, which emphasizes perpetual improvement toward the pursuit of perfection. While these results are very exciting TASUS never stops continuously improving for our customers.
